A point on the ILS glide slope Final altimeter check. MM should be part of briefing. The middle marker is 1/2 (3500 feet) mile from runway at decision height which is typically 200' AGL above TDZ.

MIDDLE MARKER- A marker beacon that defines a point along the glideslope of an ILS normally located at or near the point of decision height (ILS Category I).

- MIDDLE MARKER The middle marker should be located so as to indicate, in low visibility conditions, that visual contact with the runway is imminent, Ideally at a distance of 1050m from the threshold.

The Middle Marker displays the missed approach point, meaning the aircraft must pull up and try again if the parameters are not in line for a safe landing.

The middle marker flashes an amber light, and it beeps in a pattern of alternating dashes and dots. It is normally the missed approach point, where the pilot must decide whether he can land safely. The inner marker is used only on certain approaches.
