Set your OBS to radial 103, which you'll intercept and track to SFO (airport code, obviously, for San Francisco International).
This will set you up to execute a nice professional final approach.

Tune the OBS to center the needle and ensure that you have a "To" reading. Look at your heading on the directional gyro (DG). Hold the heading as steady as you can.

This is easy: rotate the radial dial with the OBS knob until the pointer is centered and the flag says TO. Easy huh? The top radial says the direction to fly TO the station and the bottom (reciprocal radial) indicates the radial you are on.

The place where that line crosses your course-line is your present position. Another option is to pre-tune the OBS to the radial that corresponds to a point of interest ... when the needle centers, you're there.
