Runway OFZ. The runway OFZ is a defined volume of airspace centered above the runway. The runway OFZ is the airspace above a surface whose elevation at any point is the same as the elevation of the nearest point on the runway centerline.
OBSTACLE FREE ZONE (OFZ) - The OFZ is a three dimensional section of airspace that supports the transition of ground-to-airborne-aircraft operations (and vice versa).
Obstacle free zone (OFZ) May be used in specific region near airport. From end of runway away from MAP you have 1/2 nautical mile obstacle clearance area. This area extends in an ever widening angle to 13.5 NM. At 13.
