Oshkosh '97 was awash with the exciting, the unique and the historic but there was one singular moment which combined all three factors in a thoroughly unusual manner.

Oshkosh, which can be found on the Chicago Sectional Chart, looks like this when viewing it on the chart. Don't be overwhelmed by all of the symbols. As we analyze these symbols they will begin to make sense to you.

Oshkosh - A town in Wisconsin that is the site of the annual Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in. It is believed to have been named after the sound that most experimental aircraft engines make.

An electric aircraft is one, which runs on electric motors instead of
combustion engines.

Of course the pressure above Oshkosh will decrease with altitude, too, but it will not exactly follow the ISA, because the air is 25 centigrade colder than standard. Air shrinks when it gets cold.

This year I'm getting married and I'm going to Oshkosh. Wow. It makes a guy feel lucky. May you all have a happy and healthy year! This week I talk about the different definitions of altitude. Itâs one of my favorite topics.

EAA - (The Experimental Aircraft Association) is an international organization of aviation enthusiasts based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Since its inception, it has grown internationally with over 170,000 members.

Our goal is to attain adequate support, both monetarily and through corporate donations of the aircraft and other necessary equipment, to launch our campaign at Oshkosh this year.
