Part 91
Part 91 of the Federal Aviation Regulations or FARs is one of two main parts dealing with the certification of pilots their starting point until being hired by an airline or charter company.

Part 91 -- the section of the FAR's that govern the operation of any general aviation flight. Many corporate flight departments, and all non-professional pilots function under these rules.

PART 91, 121, 125, 135 The parts of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) covering non-commercial operations (Part 91), major scheduled air carriers (Part 121), commuters (Part 125), non-scheduled carriers and air taxis (Part 135).

PART 91 IFR
Only FAR 91 operations can depart regardless of visibility and get a "look-see" privilege on approaches.

FAR PART 91 - This regulation, titled "General Operating and Flight Rules," includes an amendment issued by the FAA on September 25, 1991 (to 14 CFR 91) in conformance with requirements of the Airport Noise and Capacity Act of 1990 (see also).

FAR PART 91 - The section or part of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) covering the flight rules and regulations pertaining to non-commercial flight operations.

FAR PART 91: Federal Aviation Regulations Part 91, General Operating and Flight Rules. On September 25,1991, the FAA issued an amendment to FAR Part 91 (14CFR91) in conformance with the requirements of the Airport Noise and Capacity Act of 1990.

Part 91 - A section of the FAA Federal Air Regulations that refers principally to general aviation. Part 91 operations are generally non-commercial. Corporate aviation operations, for instance, usually fall under Part 91.

Once again, all of the general operating rules under FAR Part 91 apply to daily operations of your aircraft. In addition, the operating limitations presented under FAR 91.319 and as issued by the FAA Inspector at the time of inspection govern.

IFR TAKEOFF MINIMUMS AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURES- Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 91, prescribes standard takeoff rules for certain civil users.

Controlled airspace is also that airspace within which all aircraft operators are subject to certain pilot qualifications, operating rules, and equipment requirements in FAR Part 91 (for specific operating requirements, please refer to FAR Part 91).

Visual Flight Rules (VFR) - Rules and procedures specified in Federal Aviation Regulations Part 91 for aircraft operations under visual conditions.

Command/staff aviation officer
A special staff aviator designated by the commander to provide advice or manage aviation assets, aviation standardization, and aviation safety.

Because these were never subject to the rulemaking process of 14 CFR Part 91, they do not actually fit into any of the existing U.S. classifications of airspace and have been classified as non-part 71 airspaces.

The main reason is that it allows you to achieve your licenses in a slightly lower amount of total time (35 hour minimum under Part 141 as compared to a 40 hour minimum under Part 91).

Aircraft operators are subject to certain pilot qualifications, operating rules, and equipment requirements as specified in FAR Part 91, depending upon the class of airspace in which they are operating.
