Random route

RANDOM ROUTE- Any route not established or charted/published or not otherwise available to all users.

A direct clearance, sometimes called a random route, is 'off airways. It is nice to have a GPS or LORAN capability to fly direct. An IFR certified RNAV or inertial system would work as well.
