REQUIRED NAVIGATION PERFORMANCE (RNP) - RNP applies to navigation performance within an airspace. is intended to characterize an airspace through a statement of the navigation performance accuracy (RNP type) to be achieved within the airspace.

RNP (Required Navigation Performance) is met by GPS with WAAS added.
RNP sets standards of accuracy, integrity, availability and continuity.
WAAS is a ground station that checks and corrects GPS signal use on precision approaches.
