If the aircraft has a right wing pushed down, the positive sideslip angle corrects the wing laterally before the nose is realigned with the relative wind.
the aircraft will begin to move somewhat sideways toward the lower wing. This motion sets up a sideslip angle. Figure 2 shows the way the airplane presents itself to the oncoming air with this sideslip angle in addition to the bank angle.
Some aerodynamics texts use the term sideslip angle, which is synonymous with slip angle.
