To date, stealth aircraft have been used in several low- and moderate-intensity conflicts, including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Allied Force and the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

We are accustomed to seeing the rotation of storm systems depicted on the evening news, but you should remember that even a chunk of air that appears absolutely still on the weather map is rotating, because of the rotation of the earth as a whole.

It can fall to the surface in storms, sun showers, as humidity, and virga, which is potentially dangerous for aircraft. Virga is when the rain falling to the earth's surface evaporates before it hits the ground causing it to rise again.

The weather forecast indicated that if we could leave on Friday morning we might beat a snowstorm set to clobber Colorado Springs on Saturday evening. Fortunately, the forecast was wrong.
