Thickness Ratio: In an aerofoil its chord divided by its maximum depth. In modern cantilever wings the average thickness ratio is about 6:1.

 


The foil which was used for the Mustang had a thickness ratio of 15.1 percent at the wing root at 39 percent of the chord. The tip ratio was 11.4 percent at the 50 percent chord line.
