Turret: The transparent enclosed position of the gunner of a military aeroplane. Most turrets are power-operated, hydraulically, electrically, and both.

 


Example: A gun turret must be able to change direction almost instantaneously. This is what is accomplished by this hydraulic system.

BT or BTG: Ball-turret Gunner
