3-on-3 Closeouts I use this drill to help my kids with communicating with each other on the defensive end. It is also excellent for working on closing out on shooters, and closing out on them under control.
In 3-on-3 tournaments, play with teammates from your school team... players whose abilities (strengths and weaknesses) you are already know and whom you will be playing with next season. Learn to play together and "read" what each other is doing.
3-on-3 - Reacting with timing - Sequence 1 O1 passes to O2 and fakes a cut to the basket. O1 makes a strong move to the free-throw line as a fake.
3-on-3 Closeout/ Basketball Drill for Rebounding --- *Closeout smart. Get a hand up and contest every shot. Then ¾ turn on the perimeter with arm bar up. Block out and rebound the ball. No offensive rebounds.

Going 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 puts added pressure on the defense because, in most cases, you remove weak side help and force the defense to cover a larger area of the floor.
My team has played this as a real game in 3-on-3 leagues I have hosted. Because of full court 3-on-3, every player on my team is great at leading the fast break. Even my big girls can now dribble a basketball.
