Assistant Coach Pitfalls
It is vitally important to quickly define the role of the assistant coach. I have seen a dozen cases where a new face shows up at practice and gets introduced as the new assistant.

 


Assists Per Game (sometimes abbreviated apg or APG) is a statistic representing the mean assists recorded by a player or team over a given number of games. Usually the period refers to a season or tournament or post-season series.

An assist is the principal pass that contributes directly to a field goal, according to the 2005 edition of the NCAA Basketball Statisticians' Manual. The pass must be a major part of the play. Only one assist may be awarded for each field goal.
