A box-and-one defense is usually used against teams with one dominant scoring threat. The idea is to try and shut that player down by forcing them to score against a dedicated man-to-man player, and a supporting zone.
This offense can be used against man-to-man, zone or box-and-one defenses. Play Call: Flex 1 can pass in either direction, preferably towards the strong side.
