Brick. A hard, poor, errant shot, usually thrown on a low trajectory, that bounces hard off and caroms wildly off the basket or backboard, generally executed with little or no " touch". Brooklyn-Case Attack.

Let me say here, that a receiver is always expected to catch the ball even if it's a bad pass. Maintaining every procession of the ball is precious, even though they must run through a brick wall to get it.

sensational on paper, it just doesn't wash on film -- the players are more fun to watch in real life and just about anybody can jump up and down and shout at their players to "hit the open man". In hoop terms, this could loosely be termed a brick.
