Elbowing - Throwing your elbows during play in order to hit another player or push him away; it's a basketball foul if contact is made.
Fighting Foul - When two or more players engage in fighting one another.

 


Elbowing - Throwing your elbows during play in order to hit another player or push him away; it's a foul if contact is made.
End Line - Also caled the baseline. This line extends across both ends of the court behind the baskets.

Elbowing - it is a violation if a player vigorously or excessively swings his elbows, even if there is no contact; it is a foul if contact is made and an automatic ejection if that contact is above shoulder level.

Elbowing
Vigorous or excessive swinging of the elbows. Elbowing is a violation even if there's no contact with an opponent. If there is contact, it's a personal foul, and contact made above shoulder level can result in ejection from the game.

Elbowing
An illegal maneuver in which the player swings his or her elbows aggressively, regardless of whether contact is made with another player.

This led to pushing, shoving, elbowing, desperate dives, and total bedlam. It was even worse when the ball ended up in the balconies, with all players making a mad dash to be first up the stairs which created log jams and fights.

(5) Personal fouls which are flagrant, punching, elbowing or away from the play will carry their own separate penalties and are included in the team foul total.
