A well spaced fast break has each lane filled: middle, left wing, and right wing, For proper spacing leading to easier buckets, get those lanes filled.

Fastbreak: Fill the lanes or numbered break?
I've always used numbered break (2 right, 3 left, 1st big down middle, 2nd trail).
Stay wide to fill the lanes. (Within one foot of the sideline.)
Make the easy play.
When bringing the ball up the middle..... stop at the free-throw line to shoot or make your pass.
Use the chest pass on the break.
After the shot has been taken the rebounder passes the ball to one of the players at foul line extended and follows the pass to fill the lane.
We had this used against us in the 6th grade once.We wanted to pressure the guards around the 3 point line and fill the lane so we tryed a 1-3-1 ,not a trapping zone,just a regular zone.

The player at half-court centers the ball and the two players from the starting end fill the lanes to attack the two players waiting at the opposite basket in a 3 on 2 situation.
