Flex Offense - Low
This is a common offensive pattern that can be run continuously until a shot is presented. You can run this to use up the clock, too, which means you won't need to learn a special offense for that purpose.

 


The Flex offense is an offensive strategy in basketball developed in the 1970s. It is a patterned offense relying on cuts across the key (called a "flex cut") and down screens to create a "pick-the-picker" action.

Flex Offense - This pattern play basketball offense is simple to teach and offers us a second man-to-man offense for us to run if we need structure.

Flex Offense
1) Basic Set:
#1 point guard dictates what side of the floor to start the offense by taking the ball in that direction.
#2 and#3 are set on high side of low blocks.
#4 and #5 are set outside at the 3-point arc along the baseline.

The flex offense is an example. Yet, this type offense is over 30 years old. Us old timers called it "the shuffle." In either offense, the center often finds himself out at a guard position.

Add a line on the opposite side of the floor and you could practice setting screens and using screens in a "motion offense," or reverse the ball to practice your passing and timing in the "flex offense.
