Front the cutter:
Always stay in front of the cutter.
When O1 pass to O2 the defender jumps to the ball (one pass away).

Fronting the post has two main advantages. One, it makes it harder to pass to the post and many teams won't even try it if they see a defender directly in the passing lane.

A front turn is made when your chest moves around the pivot foot. This is a good way to square up to the basket for a shot.

Backcourt Violation: time is up, if after 10 seconds, a player does not move the ball from the back to frontcourt.

Ten-second rule - when a team gains possession in their own half of the court (back court), the ball must be progressed to the opposing teams half of the court (front court) within ten seconds, otherwise a violation is called.

Over the back- this is when you go for a rebound and you reach over the top of the person in front of you.
Hacking- hacking is when you chop at your opponent and hack them on the arm or some place else.

8-second rule

A backspin on the ball tends to make it bounce backwards into the basket. So the ball will tend to hold up if it first hits the front of the ring, or will be directed down into the ring if it hits the backboard or back of the ring.
