Give and go

Basketball Game shotsGive-and-go

If Give and Go is not their, he continues to the corner using a screen from 4.
OR:
If 1 is a good shooter, then 3 can pass to 2, and 2 passes to 1, you have an open jump shot in the corner.

There are many more drills for the give and go than is shown here. Some are strictly instructional; however, most can be put in competitive drills which can be run many different ways. "Make it - take it" is a good method.

Give and Go
The give and go involves a V-cut by O2 to receive the pass. O1 makes a fake step left and then a quick lane cut for the pass and lay-up.

Give and Go: When one player passes to another player and that player is able to take the ball directly to the basket.

[edit] Give and go
"Give and Go" is an offensive play that involves passing the ball (give) and then running (go) to an open spot to receive the ball back, usually near the basket, for an easy score.

Give and Go
Player A passes the ball to Player B. Player A then cuts to the basket (or an open area to shoot) and receives the pass back from Player B. So simple. So effective. Easy to practice. Why doesn't it work more often in games?

Basketball Move #15) Give and Go
This is an inside cut where you pass to a teammate, then cut to the hoop looking for the return pass. Make the pass, then use a hard "V" cut in front of your defender.

You might want to go over v-cuts, give and go, backdoor cuts, and screens. As they play they should naturally develop good spacing. You must make sure that the defense doesn't get lazy after so many passes.

This drill when used with the pick and roll, and the give and go is a powerful scoring chance for young players when they learn to put them all 3 together in a game.If you can`t pick and roll,or give and go,then do a pass and screen play.
