A shot taken after driving to the basket by leaping up under the basket and using one hand to drop the ball directly into the basket (layin) or to bank the ball off the backboard into it (layup).

Dribble while laying down.
Skills
Lay down flat of your back. Then dribble the ball on your right side for 6 seconds.
Then sit up, as you would do if you where doing a sit up, and dribble in front of you and switch hand and lay back down.

Have one arm up and the ball laying on the palm of your other hand. Simply toss or flip it to the receiver. Another variation of this is to turn your body toward the receiver, or else, make a complete turn, face the receiver and give him the ball.

A layup is a two point attempt made by leaping from below, laying the ball up near the basket, and using one hand to tip the ball over the rim and into the basket (layin) or to bank it off the backboard and into the basket (layup).

#3 looks to hit #5 for the layin.
If not then #1 gets the ball and resets the offense.

This can be done by shooting a jump shot, laying the ball into the rim, or slamming the ball through the hoop.

Lay-up: A field goal attempt made from below the basket, laying the ball up near the basket. The player either lays the ball over the rim and into the basket or banks it off the backboard and into the basket.
