Basketball OffenseOffensive foul

If you want success, your players must spend time practicing going hard to the offensive board and getting the second shot. I can't tell you how much time to spend to get results; however. If it takes 20 minutes a day, that's what you need to do.

Offensive Board
Offensive Foul
A personal foul committed by an offensive player. In the National Basketball Association and international amateur play, the ball is awarded to the opposing team for a throw-in.

Crash the offensive boards. Players #3, #4, and #5 must crash the boards on every shot while players #1 and #2 sprint back to stop the fast break.

Get To the Offensive Boards
The importance of offensive rebounding cannot be overemphasized. Attacking the offensive boards produces high percentage shots, more freethrows and a psychological edge over the defense.

I could never shoot but using the backboard increased my percentage and allows me offensive boards. Team rule our forwards shoot in the key it has to go off the backboard or they're out!!! ...

When your team shoots, at least one guard should not attack the offensive board, and should remain "back" beyond the three-point lane, in the center of the floor. This should be assigned to a certain player and be his/her responsibility.

Do they hit the offensive boards? How many do they send to the boards?
G. Do they penetrate to score or penetrate to pass? Do they penetrate at all?
H.

- crash the offensive boards
- attack the defense from behind
- move the ball with quick passes
- pass inside then back out
- use pass and shot fakes (the zone is ball oriented)
- align in and attack seams ...

Only those offensive players who are guarded can go to the offensive boards.
Skills
Contesting jump shots and rotating and communicating defensively ...
