Initially, one shot is awarded, but after a certain number of additional fouls are committed the opposing team may receive (a) one shot with a chance for a second shot if the first shot is made, called shooting "one-and-one", or (b) two shots.

Teams are allowed only one shot per visit to each basket. Once a rebound has been received, that team must dribble to the other basket and play against the third team.

--The drill consists of only one shot.
Two Blocks
--Two offensive players line up outside the lane with their inside foot on the block. Defensive player sets in the middle of the lane, between the two offensive players.

In our last game, despite talking about boxing out and giving up one shot, the other team out rebounded us and got 3 shots per possession. Any advice on getting the kids to rebound, box out and limit the other team to one shot per possession?

All players start at the same goal. Each player shoots one shot then moves counter-clockwise to the next goal.
After every player has shot at all goals, check to see how many par shooters you have on the squad. Par is the number of goals in the gym.

If A3's 3-point attempt is good, it counts and A1 shoots one shot.
If the basket was not good, either Team A gets the ball out of bounds for a throw-in or A1 shoots penalty (2 shots), depending on the number of team fouls in the period.

For instance, if a player misses one shot he goes to the baseline, sprints to the other baseline, and enters the line on the opposite end of the floor.

The free throw is actually pretty unique when it comes to basketball shooting. It's the one shot that puts you on an island all alone. No one can contest your shot, but the pressure is high, isn't it?

On the first shot (if more than one shot has been awarded) there is no rebound.

Shot clock- this means in more aggressive ball that you have to get at least one shot off within the time they give you on the shot clock.

When adding the 4th and 5th player the next group can't go until the first group takes a shot. Allow only one shot per possession to keep drill moving.

A general rule of offensive rebounding is a team will score 50 percent of their second shot attempts and 80 percent of their third shot attempts. Teams give themselves a better chance of winning by getting more than one shot each position.
