Passers must deliver accurate, crisp passes. They must always be on the look-out for the open teammate. Receivers must keep their eyes on the ball at all times and always consider themselves a potential receiver.

Passers must call out teammates names, players on the side must cheer good plays (defense and strong finishing is the primary goal).

Passers make good chest passes. Make sure they don't lob these passes. Passes should have "zip", speed. The passer then follows his pass and sprints to the rear of the opposite line.

assist: the last pass to a teammate that leads directly to a field goal; the scorer must move immediately toward the basket for the passer to be credited with an assist; only 1 assist can be credited per field goal.

Practicing one-handed passes will not only make you a better passer, it will make your weak-hand dribbling stronger, and you will become an even better finisher around the basket, among other things, because you will be better with both hands.
