Offense Rebounding
Old school thinking says the team that makes the most layups wins. Offensive rebounds give you more layup opportunities. Modern trends have many teams relying on the three-point shot.

Rebounding is 25% skill and 75% hunger. The necessary skills are simple and easy to teach (although players often forget to use them until they are too old to jump well anymore).

Rebounding techniques, Rebounding skills, and etc..can be taught, but I honestly believe some of the best rebounders are the ones that want to rebound and wanting the most rebounds.

Rebounding is one of the major aspects of the game. For some players, rebounding is THE game, their only duty on the court. It is typically a big guy's job. Under the rim, you will find warriors. They fight battles and they shed sweat and blood.

Rebounding is a great skill to have as a basketball player. Those players that really WANT the ball and box out become the best rebounders. They take pride in rebounding. Lean back on your man and keep him out of rebounding position.

Rebounding: An attempt by any basketball player to secure possession of the basketball following a try ot tap for goal. In a rebounding situation there is no player or team control.

REBOUNDING ASSIGNMENTS
The coach must make definite rebounding assignments. These assignments begin as an opponent begins to take a shot.

REBOUNDING: The art of recovering a missed shot before it hits the floor, or before an opponent gets a hand on it. This is a part of the game where the most intentional physical contact is allowed and encouraged.

The most difficult skills, including shooting, passing, catching, dribbling, and rebounding, involve holding the ball.

Basic offensive skills are passing, ball handling, rebounding, and shooting. Passing the basketball is the fastest and often most efficient way of advancing the ball.
