Instructions
Place a ball about 3/4 court. Start with player underneath the basket facing the wall, or basket on opposite side.

 


Run to the defender's side and stand slightly behind him.

Raise your elbows to the sides, hands pulled into the chest.

In run-and-jump pressure, the ball handler encounters similar situations, but aggressive coverage away from the ball will reduce the ball handler's ability to pass the ball.

Outlet and quick run to the top of the key.

Even in this position you can expect a pass when ducking in or making a give and go.
Dunk if you can do it.

Run up, parallel to the backboard, and jump under the basket with the ball in your right hand.
Put the ball through your legs to your left hand. At this point you should be in the air, facing away from the basket, with the ball in your left hand.

Run this out of your 3-out, 2-in offense against man-to-man defense. These plays feature several options including 3-point shots for O2 or O3, , a pass to O1 cutting inside, a pass into the post, and a "slip" option. You can run it right or left.

I could run 60 minutes of drills that teach them to move and pick and rotate, 5 minutes later I run a scrimmage and they don't use anything they just learned. Any suggestions?Help!

The age group you are working with is a trying age.

This will give you space you're double-teamed or the defender tries to run and jump at you. Retreat two steps back as you use the control dribble. Use a step-slide movement by pushing off your front foot and sliding back with your rear foot.
