Sidelines
The sidelines are the two boundaries lines running the length of the court. Their location is determined by the width of the court, which is normally 50 feet wide.

 


Sidelines: 2 boundary lines that run the length of the court.
Sixth man: the best substitute on a team; usually the first player to come off the bench to replace a starter.
Slam dunk: see dunk.

Small Forward - Usually bigger than the guards but smaller than the power forward; responsibilities include both inside and outside work.

Facing the sidelines, raise hand and do a squat position. Keep the height of the squat while trying to move sideways. Remember not to cross feet.

In a highly competitive job market, preparation, patience and a positive attitude all play a role in obtaining a coaching position at the high school or college level.

court: the 94' x 50' area bounded by 2 sidelines and 2 end lines containing a basket at each end, on which a basketball game is played.

Half-court line: The line at the center of the court parallel to the sidelines that divides the court in half. Also called the "midcourt line."
Hand-check: To make hand contact with a dribbler while guarding them.

In other words, stay away from the sidelines.
Place a player in the middle (diagonally) between the two circles.
Two players should start at the foul line, extended (straight ahead). They should be active.

Each group makes two lines (shooters and rebounders) along the sidelines. Start with right-handed lay-ups.

Let's cite a specific example: the dribbler and defender are very close to the sidelines.

In addition to the great players breaking a sweat (and records!) on the court, there are also those on the sidelines, providing guidance, encouragement, and support.

The scoring possibilities are great for out-of-bounds plays, particularly under the basket and near sidelines. A quick and sudden score from such a basketball play shakes the opponent's confidence, not to mention increased team morale.

This is where we pratice trapping on the sidelines.Split your team up if you want to,and work twice as fast as in frame one.

Floor Violation
A player's action that violates the rules but does not prevent an opponent's movement or cause him harm; penalized by a change in possession.

If the ball goes off the sidelines at the sides of the court, it is thrown back in by a player from the team who did not touch the ball last before it went out.

Make sure you do not allow the defense to use the sidelines or
baseline as n extra defender by getting too close to them; give
yourself room to be able to dribble out of a trap.
6. LOOK MIDDLE-LAG-SKIP: ...

Here are some indications: yelling a lot in practice; rampaging up and down on the sidelines during games; playing only the best players; needing to get players "up" for the game; ...

Bench Player: This refers to the players who are not starters but who sit on the sidelines. There is no bench but commentators will say things like "He came off the bench and had a really big game for them." Players when not playing sit in chairs.

Boundary Lines: Boundary lines of the court consist of end lines and sidelines. The inside of these lines define the inbounds and out-of-bounds areas.

Space Jam ...

A similar line parallel to the verticals of the three-point line in NBA floors serves with the same purpose; also this line demarcates the farthest extent a coach (aside from the sidelines) can stay. Directly behind this area is the team bench.
