Three-point shot: A field goal worth three points, taken from beyond an arc that is 22 feet from the basket.
Three-second violation: An offensive player may not stand in the lane for three seconds.
Three-Point Shot - A field-goal attempt from outside the three-point line.
Three-Second Lane - An area that extends from the baseline under the basket to the free-throw line. Also called the "key".
Three-point Shot: A shot taken from outside the Three Point Line. In the NBA, the three point line at its longest distance is 23 feet 9 inches away from the basket. The extra point is awarded because this shot is very difficult.
