BL: Acetone-Free lacquer remover is the least damaging to nails and skin. A trick to removing glitter lacquers, soak a cotton pad in remover and hold over the nail for about 20 seconds before rubbing.

Use a non-acetone nail polish remover for normal polish, but switch to acetone if you need to remove stubborn colors or glitter nail polish. I like to use the instant polish remover where you stick your finger into the jar and twist to remove the polish, but whatever you prefer is fine.

1. Prep your nails by removing any old nail paint using acetone free formula. Don't use acetone as it will damage your nails. This is the first and foremost of the french manicure steps.

Moisturize nails and cuticles daily and always use a nail polish remover that is acetone free. Before applying nail polish, be sure to apply a protective base coat. Polish and buff nails at least once or twice a week and dip them in a small bowl of warmed almond oil.
