The terms algae and seaweed are often used interchangeably, which causes some confusion.

Algae: a seaweed
Alginate: Gelatinous substance obtained from seaweed and used as an emulsifier and thickening agent.

Allantoin- Which comes form the comfrey root, is used for its healing, moisturizing, soothing and anti-irritating properties.
