Alkaline Perm A permanent wave with a pH from 7.5 to 9.5. Produces a tight curl.
Alkaline Perm... this sort has a ph level that is higher... 7.5-9.5 resulting in a stronger, crisper curl. Alpha Hydroxy Acid... formulated to lift dead skin cells from the skin when the process itself has slowed down due to our own aging.
Alkaline Perm: An alkaline perm produces permanent hair waves (tight curls). It also has a pH from 7.5 to 9.5. Alkaline Soil: Soil with a pH content of more than 7.3.
Acid Perm - An acid perm produces permanent hair waves with curls that are actually softer than an alkaline perm. It also has a pH from 6.5 to 8.0. Alkaline - A substance with a pH greater than 7; non acidic.
This might be the case, if you have hair that is not chemically treated. But once you have impaled your tresses with harsh chemicals such as bleaches and alkaline permanents, hot oil treatments may not be the best bet for you.
