Anionic Surfactants: Those in which the active molecule bears a negative electric charge; primarily used as a cleansing agent in relatively mild shampoos for oily or normal to oily hair.
Anionic Surfactants (Negatively charged ion) Anionic surfactants are the most widely used detergents in the cosmetology profession. They are inexpensive, simple to prepare, and excellent cleaners. They also rinse easily from the hair.
Permits formulation of sprayable gels. Provides stability to emulsions. Compatible with wide range of ingredients including polyquaterniums. Limited compatibility with salts and some anionic surfactants.
