Natural Homemade Antiseptics Disinfectants
There are many ancient recipes by which we can make natural antiseptics at home instead of buying commercial disinfectants that we are now finding out may cause drug resistance.
Natural Homemade Antiseptics
1) Tea tree oil is a powerful antiseptic. Use it for acne, either diluted or full strength.
2) Burdock leaves in a poultice are excellent for boils and swellings, and as a wash for acne.
ANTISEPTIC
An agent that prevents or arrests the growth of microorganisms.
ARBUTIN
A natural skin lightening agent composed of glucose and hydroquinone. It is extracted from bearberry plants.
Urinary antiseptic: a germicidal action of a herb destructive to harmful bacteria in the urine when excreted from the body via the kidneys, bladder and ureters.
Antiseptic, cuts, burns, menopause, PMS, antidepressant, stress.
Sandalwood
Ayurvedic medicine, nervousness, anxiety, rashes, inflammation, acne, dry skin, retains the scent in fragrance products.

Benzyl Alcohol NF
Benzyl alcohol, an aromatic primary alcohol, is a clear, oily liquid with a mild, pleasant odor; melting point at -15 C; boiling point at 205 C; specific gravity 1.04.
Antiseptic: A substance/property that stops the growth of bacteria.
Antispasmodic: A substance/property that eases or stops muscle spasms.
Antiwrinkle: A cosmetic that prevents the premature formation of wrinkles.

Evening Primrose Oil
Oenothera biennis. Superb emollient and skin nutrient, high in essential fatty acids. A source of rare gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), also found in human breast milk.
It has antiseptic and antibiotic properties. It is a very good skin tonic, when applied as a paste. It clears pimples too.

Clover Blossom
Clover Blossom extract serves as an astringent. Red Clover acts as an antibiotic and is good for bacterial infections and an array of skin disorders including eczema and psoriasis.
