CARNAUBA WAX: Derived from the leaf of a Brazilian palm known as "the tree of life." An edible material wax often used in making candles, lipsticks and lip balms, it has the highest melting point of any natural wax found on earth.

 


Carnauba Wax - Extracted from the leaves of the Brazilian wax palm tree. Emollient and moisturizing and used for its skin protectant properties.

Carnauba wax - a hypo-allergenic wax extracted from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree that is used to thicken foundation, mascara, lipstick, blush, and deodorant.
Castile soap - mild, moisturizing soap made from olive oil.

Mascara is used to darken and thicken lashes, and was composed of colorants and carnauba wax. Users wet a brush and rubbed it over the cake, then applied it to the eyes.

Water resistant mascaras have a composition based on a volatile solvent (isododecane - an isomer of dodecane), animal-derived waxes (beeswax), vegetal based waxes (carnauba wax rice bran wax, candelila wax), ...

An extending and long-lasting formula, with candelilla and carnauba wax, curls and adds sheen. A high pigment concentration intensifies the colour. The brush is very fine with short and long fibres, allowing an extremely precise application.

Mascara typically includes a carbon black or iron oxide pigment to darken lashes, a polymer to form a film that coats lashes, a preservative, and thickening waxes or oils like lanolin, mineral oil, paraffin, petrolatum, castor oil, carnauba wax, ...
