Beta Carotene for Acne

What is the relationship between beta carotene and acne? Knowing how these two entities interact could help you finally win the battle against acne-riddled skin.

 


Carotene (Beta Carotene): Found primarily in carrots. A pro-vitamin, converted by the body into vitamin A, carotene gives a yellow to orange-red color to formulations.

Beta carotene: Orange colored plant pigments, used in the manufacture of vitamin A.
Beta hydroxy: An exfoliating agent with a smaller molecule size than the alpha hydroxy.
