Cetearyl Alcohol An emulsifying wax produced from a mixture of fatty alcohols. Made from cetyl and stearyl alcohol's which together form an occlusive film to keep skin moisture from evaporating. They give hair and skin a velvety feeling.

Cetearyl alcohol: An emulsifying and stabilizing wax produced from the reduction of plant oils and natural waxes. Also an emollient giving viscosity to a finished product.
Cetearyl polyglucose: An emollient from plants.

Cetearyl Alcohol - A mixture of fatty alcohols derived from coconut oil consisting predominantly of cetyl and stearyl alcohols. Used as emollients, thickeners and emulsion stabilizers.

Cetearyl alcohol
Derived from from coconut oil; emollient and emulsifier. Provides a creaminess to products.
Cetrimonium chloride
Derived from coconut; conditioning, softening, and flyaway reducer.

Cetearyl alcohol and ceteareth-20 - An emollient, thickener, and emulsion stabilizer, this blend is derived from naturally occurring fatty acids from coconut oil.

Cetearyl Alcohol: A waxy, crystalline solid used as an emulsifier. Not to be confused with drying, ethyl alcohols.

Cetearyl Alcohol
Not an "alcohol" such as ethyl or rubbing alcohol. It is an emulsifying wax made by combining fatty alcohols derived from vegetable sources. Used as an emulsifier and emollient, it is not drying to the skin.
