Chickweed: High in Vitamin C, Chickweed has been used for acne, boils, obesity (dissolves fat), and skin problems. Chickweed is good for stopping bleeding, removing mucous from the lungs, and reducing inflammation of the bowels and stomach.
Make a poultice of crushed raw garlic and apply it to the wart before covering with a bandage for 24 hours. To protect the skin, apply vitamin E oil before the garlic. Crush up chickweed and apply to the wart. Cover with a bandage.
Herbal skin creams that include chickweed, chamomile, marigold and comfrey, help to reduce itching and burning. Homeopaths may prescribe calendula as a soothing cream or urtica urens to be applied to severe rashes.
