My cyst began it's career as a Thrombosis Hemorroid (yup, that's where it's located...). I had it lanced twice over an 8 year period. The last time it flared up, I wasn't able to seek medical attention, so I squeezed it until it burst.

Cyst- Small, yellowish-tan to skin colored, firm round masses just beneath the skin. These can enlarge slowly and when infected can result in scarring. Can be exacerbated by acne.

Cyst
Similar to a pustule, a cyst is a fluid filled bump that elevates above the skin and is topped by puss. A cyst is also filled with a mixture of white blood cells, bacteria, sebum, and dead skin cells and becomes severely inflamed.

Cyst: A deep-seated mass filled with liquid or semisolid material (puss) and surrounded by a capsule.

A chalazion is a cyst, or fluid-filled sac, of one of the little glands in edge of the eyelids Chalazions differ from hordeolums in that they are usually painless apart from the tenderness caused when they swell up.

This could be a blocked gland called a milia cyst -- these are very deep and you should not try to extract them yourself. It could also be a wart or a skin tag, which is a benign growth of skin that is usually genetically related.
