Diuretics: Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), used to treat high blood pressure. Lasix (furosemide). Combination drugs with HCTZ include Dyazide, Hyzaar, Maxide and Zestoretic.

 


Diuretics: Agents that increase the flow of urine from the kidneys and so excrete excess fluid from the body.
Douche: A term used to describe the cleansing of certain parts of the body eg. Washing wounds and ulcers, eye douches etc.

Diuretic: Something that can increase urine flow.
DL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate: Vitamin E acetate. See Vitamin E.

Diuretic pills are often used to remove excess water from the body, but be careful when using this method as many people have experienced negative side effects from them. As an alternative to diuretic pills, you may want to consider using Vitamin C.

Another tip is to avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine-heavy beverages because they are diuretics and will speed up the dehydration process. As well, caffeine tends to speed up your metabolism, which can increase your body temperature.
