Emollient
A mixture of oils found in most body creams. The purpose is to seal in the moisture so that it can't escape from the skin. Especially important during the winter months.

Emollient - usually a grease or an oil that softens the skin and protects it from dryness. The emollients in moisturizers come from animal, vegetable, or mineral sources.

One should use nourishing emollients like glycerine to prevent smelly feet.

Tetrasodium EDTA - chelating agent that is an aid to manufacturing. Has preservative qualities as well.

Used in cosmetics as an emollient, it forms a hard film when dry. It is often used in lipsticks, but because of it's unpleasant smell, it is not often found in other cosmetics. Rarely associated with skin irritation or allergic reactions.

Petrolatum
A clear to yellowish, semi-solid insoluble emollient. It is an oil derivative, and acts as a lubricant in lipstick. It helps to smooth skin and prevents evaporation of moisture by forming a film on the skin's surface.

Lanolin Alcohol = Highly-refined fatty alcohol emollient, derived from lanolin, rich in skin-softening cholesterol. Used to emulsify, moisturize and soften skin.
Lauric Acid = Fatty acid of coconut oil, emulsifier component, consistency agent.

Burt's Bees is a very natural and forgiving emollient
Just a bit of plain vaseline goes a long way and i don't think you'll find it addictive.

Water and soap exacerbate the patches; applying emollients help keep the spot soft and moist without being wet or oozy, without aggravation. Topical steroids are needed to control the symptoms.
