Fenugreek was used widely by Greeks - hence its name.
Make a decoction with 1 teaspoon of fenugreek added to 2 cups of water, boil till it reduces to 1/4th. Gargle with this for relief from throat pain, cough, and tonsillitis.
Fenugreek Seed Paste
To make a paste of fenugreek seeds, you need to soak them in water for about nine hours. Then, grind them into a fine paste and apply on your scalp. Leave the paste on for a half-an-hour and wash using a mild shampoo.
3. Soak fenugreek (methi) seeds in yogurt overnight and apply the curd on your scalp for half an hour before washing in the morning.
Fenugreek Seeds Homemade Dandruff Cure
Fenugreek seeds can be used as a simple homemade dandruff cure. Fenugreek (also known as Methi) is very popular in Indian cooking and the seeds can be purchased from most supermarkets and health stores these days. A 100 gram bag should cost you no more than $1.
2. Fenugreek leaves (methi) cure pimples, blackheads, dryness and early appearance of wrinkles. Make a paste of these leaves and apply it every night. Next morning, wash off with warm water. This improves your complexion.
To make your own cleanser: Mix together equal quantities of ground coriander, ground cumin, ground fenugreek, ground liquorice and chickpea flour and store in air tight containers. When apply take a small quantity and mix with water or rose water.
Hair loss: Blend two tbsp each of castor oil, coconut milk, almond milk and fenugreek seed paste. Massage and wash off.
Softness: Try a banana-almond mask. Just mash a banana and add a few drops of almond oil, mix and massage this on the hair. Rinse after 20 minutes.
