Gelatinous: Having the consistency of jelly or gelatin.
Gentian: Gentian Root is a bitter used to stimulate appetite and digestion and has anti-inflammatory effects. It promotes the production of saliva, gastric juices and bile.

Alginate: Gelatinous substance obtained from seaweed and used as an emulsifier and thickening agent.
Alkalis: Substances with a pH above 7. Often used as neutralisers in cosmetics and toiletries.
