Method
- Pour both ingredients into a clean bottle.
- Replace cap.
- Shake ingredients.
- The bottle will need to be shaken each time before using.

 


A commonly used humectant is glycerine.Newer ingredients have been added to increase the efficacy of this group of moisturisers, but still their effect remains temporary.The second category of moisturisers comprise newer water-in-oil emulsions.

Glycerine
A natural humectant (attracts and holds moisture) derived from vegetable fat. Helps skin absorb moisture and is helpful in pulling oxygen and bringing it into the skin.

Glycerine - a syrupy liquid used in skin care products for its emollient and water-retaining properties. It's good for people with oily skin.

GLYCERINE: A viscous fluid derived either synthetically or from plants. It is an emollient, a slip agent, and a humectant ( water-binding agent) and can keep water in skin.

Glycerin, Glycerine, Glycerol
Sweet, syrupy alcohol that can be produced artificially from propylene alcohol or naturally derived from vegetable oils.

Vegetable Glycerine Vegetable glycerin leaves a nice, soft feel to the skin that creates a layer of protection to prevent further moisture loss and re-hydrate the skin.

Mix 2 drops of glycerine with 1 tsp of cream on the top of milk and apply to lips to cure the chapped lips and keep overnight to get smooth and shiny lips.

Glyceryl Stearate - A monoester of glycerine and stearic acid. An emollient and emulsifier.
Glycol Stearate - The monoester of ethylene glycol and stearic acid. An emollient and an emulsifier used in lotions and shampoos to achieve a pearling effect.

4.Beat one tbsp of castor oil, one tbsp of glycerine, one tbsp of cider vinegar and a tsp of mild herbal shampoo.Apply it on scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes.Rinse with clear water.

Propylene Glycol :
Ideally from vegetable glycerine & grain alcohol. In general cosmetics, most used are of synthetic nature. Avoid any formula exceeding 5% of usage.
Rice Bran Oil :
Rich in vitamin E, similar to wheat germ oil.

Cut open a Vitamin -E capsule, add ½ tsp of glycerine and apply. Wash after 15- 20 minutes.
Tips 4:
Add ½ tsp honey to 1 tsp rice powder. Smoothen the lines with this paste. Leave for ½ an hour and wash.

Take one tablespoon of castor oil, one tablespoon of almond oil, one tablespoon of glycerine, a teaspoon of cider vinegar and a teaspoon of protein and four drops of sandalwood. Beat this mixture together.

6. For dry skin it is necessary to apply glycerine with a cotton wool swab before using foundation. If the skin is oily, use astringent lotion mixed with rose water or two drops lemon juice.

1. Combine together equal parts of egg white, rosewater and glycerine. Apply over neck and allow to dry before rinsing off. This is excellent for lined and wrinkled neck.
