BHA- Also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, used for its exfoliating purposes. It is lipophilic, or known for its abilities to dissolve oil. The most common BHA is salicylic acid.
They are lipophilic, insoluble in water and soluble in oils at elevated temperatures. They are used to produce stable emulsions and to modify viscosity. The Capmul MCM series posses excellent solvent properties.
