Loofahs Don't Grow In The Ocean
Did you know that loofahs don't come from the sea? They are actually grown in the garden and are related to the cucumber family AND they are easy to grow. From one vine, you can actually get 25 loofahs.

You can scrub away all that dead skin in a hammam using a loofah made of natural material to gently exfoliate and regenerate the epidermis, leaving your skin looking and feeling new, minus imperfections.

Squirt some of your favorite moisturizing body wash onto a loofah, body brush or exfoliating glove. Lather well.

LOOFAH
The loofah is a coarse, natural-fiber sponge used to slough off rough and dead skin. Body scrub treatments are given using loofahs with gels, herbal soaps, or exfoliating lotions.

Loofah - the skeleton of a gourd plant that's used as an exfoliating tool in the bath or shower.
Lowlights - darker tones subtly laid into small sections of the hair.
Lubricant - an oil, cream, or other ingredient that moistens and softens skin.

Luffa - Loofah: A long vining plant (resembling a cucumber plant) bears fruit, that, once dried and washed of rind and seeds, gives us a wonderful body scrub! It helps stimulate circulation as well as exfoliate dead skin cells.

For best results, scrub your skin in the shower with a loofah. Wait until your skin is dry before applying the self tanner.

You can also use a loofah or bath puff to scrub rough, dry skin. Take special care on areas such as the bottom of your feet, elbows and knees, where dry skin tends to persist. You should follow the scrub with a good moisturizing lotion.

Loofa - The dried fibrous section of the fruit from the plant (Luffa aegyptiaca) used as an exfoliating sponge. Also spelled loofah or luffa.
Lye - The common name for sodium hydroxide.
