Botanical Name: Matricaria chamomilla
Background/Origin: There are 3 types of Chamomile Essential Oil - Roman, German/Blue and Moroccan. Chamomile comes from the Compositae family. The oil is produced by distilling the flowers.

German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) has anti-inflammatory properties useful for skin creams. Its broad content of flavonoid constituents supports elasticity in small capillaries, for couperose skin (tiny broken blood vessels in the face).
