Methylparaben (also Methyl/propyl paraben) - A very effective antimicrobial, anti-irritant, and preservative, it has been found to be extremely useful in various types of cosmetics and food products.

 


Methylparaben: Water-soluble anti-microbial agent. One of the most commonly used preservative in cosmetics today.

So watch out for High Hazard ingredients like Methylparaben, Aluminum Powder, Ceteareth -20, and Butylparaben and Benzyl Alcohol . Personally, I would not want to put these ingredients anywhere near my eyes! ...

These ingredients work best when they are used as a combination (methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben), and require a very small amount to help preserve a product (less than one tenth of a percent).
