Top Notes, Middle Notes and Base Notes: Essential Oils - There is probably no better way to enhance your skin and overall beauty, than by using essential oils. They serve a lot more purposes than just beautifying.
Middle notes, such as sage or lavender, are the blending scents and last a medium amount of time. Top notes, such as tangerine or peppermint, are what give the perfume its initial scent and last the shortest amount of time.
Wait 10 to 15 minutes and smell the card again. This is the middle note: it's the scent that takes over after the top note dissipates.
Middle notes create the body of the scent and are usually floral or a combo of fruity and floral. Bottom notes are the fragrance anchors; they're the heaviest and stick around the longest. These are often woody, smoky, or musky.
