Pityriasis Alba: Seborrheic dermatitis. Pityriasis Capitis: Dandruff. Pityrosporum: Yeast that is a common inhabitant of the skin, usually starting at puberty. Not the yeast that causes vaginitis in women.
Pigmented persons tend to present with a papular eruption, and poorly demarcated hypopigmented patches (pityriasis alba) are commonly seen on the cheeks and extremities in Atopic Dermatitis.
