Poultice: poultices are packs of powders, dried or fresh herbs, enclosed in a muslin bag or wrapped in folds of a flannel or linen and soaked in boiling water, then applied to the affected area of the body.
Usually a cloth filled with heated herbs, clay, or a medicated product spread on a cloth and applied to wounds or an injury.
A poultice is made by soaking gauze in a strong decoction or infusion or by layering the actual herb (such as comfrey) between sheets of hot damp gauze.

1.A poultice made from henna plant leaves + vinegar is very effective. (without vinegar is also effective).
2.The juice of eclipta alba (bhringraj) leaves can also be applied.

If you have any strained muscles or sprains, you can take 1/2 to 1 cup of Epsom salts and make a "pack" with it to place on the affected area, wrap with hot towel and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
