Poultice: poultices are packs of powders, dried or fresh herbs, enclosed in a muslin bag or wrapped in folds of a flannel or linen and soaked in boiling water, then applied to the affected area of the body.

Usually a cloth filled with heated herbs, clay, or a medicated product spread on a cloth and applied to wounds or an injury.

A poultice is made by soaking gauze in a strong decoction or infusion or by layering the actual herb (such as comfrey) between sheets of hot damp gauze.

8) Make a poultice pack for strains or sprains
If you have any strained muscles or sprains, you can take 1/2 to 1 cup of Epsom salts and make a "pack" with it to place on the affected area, wrap with hot towel and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
